When I was a boy, we had an old birch tree in our front yard. It would stand there with its papery bark peeling away and low-splitting trunks begging to be climbed on.
Whenever little Raymond and his mother visited the Morton Arboretum, he insisted that they visit the “owl tree” on the west side of the park.
My daughter was supposed to have twins in May, but one didn't make it. Soon we are planning on planting a tree in memory of the twin.
I have been a professional caregiver for over twenty years, and I have a current client by the name of Daisy. This beautiful woman is 94 years young.
