Love Among the Pines

     It was just a bench among the pines. But to this couple it was and will always be a very special place.  The bench was on the east side of the Arboretum at Frost Hill, facing a long meadow with roses and pines surrounding the pleasant prairie. It was in the open where anyone could stop.  It was the bench where he proposed to her and where she replied yes.

Now they have driven past that bench many times since that memorable day.  Yet it will always seem new, out of the ordinary, and just their bench, the special place where they began their happy life together.
